ClearStream Psychology offers supervision for registered provisional psychologists working in our clinic.
We specialize in supervising and mentoring early career psychologists to develop clinical expertise and a thriving practice.
Our Clinical Supervisor, Dr. Shannon Jones, has extensive training and experience in supervision. She provides a supportive and collaborative supervision environment where provisional psychologists can strengthen their clinical skills, deepen their case conceptualization abilities, and grow in confidence as ethical and competent practitioners.
Dr. Jones is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and over a decade of clinical experience in both healthcare and private practice settings. Her supervision approach is competency-based and grounded in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based practices, including exposure and response prevention (ERP), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based strategies. She works closely with supervisees to build strong foundational skills in assessment, case formulation, and evidence-based treatment while encouraging thoughtful reflection and professional growth. Dr. Jones views supervision as both a learning and mentorship process. She enjoys supporting provisional psychologists as they develop their professional identity and clinical voice.
Since 2016, Dr. Jones has supervised practicum students, predoctoral residents, and provisional psychologists across a range of clinical settings. In 2021, she received the Award for Excellence in Clinical Supervision from the Clinical Psychology Program at the University of Calgary.
Her supervision training includes formal coursework and ongoing professional development in competency-based supervision and ethical risk management. She has completed workshops and intensive training with leaders in the field, including Dr. Carol Falender, Dr. Michael Ellis, and Dr. George Harmann, and continues to seek consultation to support best practices in supervision.
ClearStream Psychology welcome inquiries from provisional psychologists who are interested in developing strong competencies in CBT and evidence-based psychological assessment and treatment. If you are a provisional psychologist interested in joining our team and receiving clinical supervision, please reach out to us through our contact form or by emailing info@clearstreampsychology.com.
